Tempus Volare #2

026-FC2 - 6/10/2009

11" x 22" x 9" deep

$1,400 + Shipping/Handling (in the continental US)

This design, influenced by the streamlined shapes in early fighter planes, has an exaggerated fisheye lens, distorting the face of the clock, referring to the illusive and wistful qualities of time.

The catalpa wood is from a tree at the Frank Lloyd Wright Westcott House in Springfield, OH.  The tree was knocked down by hurricane Ike in 2008, and luckily fell away from the house!

Connecting rods are solid brass. The Seiko clock mechanism is accessed from the back.
