Pastry Table
In 2003 I renovated a kitchen in New Hampshire. The owners wanted an island in the kitchen and asked if I could make them something utilizing the top of an old run-down pastry table languishing in their garage. I refinished the top of the old table, then designed and built a new base.
I installed a steel beam to raise and level the sagging ceiling, then designed and built ceiling coffers to add interest to the room and disguise the beam. I reinforced the basement ceiling to level and support the kitchen floor.
